Who we are

This website is operated by Biddy Enterprises Ltd, 1505 Barrington St, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3J 3K5, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our privacy contact is Jason Ranni, Founder and CEO, at info@biddyenterprises.ca.

What we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect the details you choose to give us:

• Your name, company and email address
• Where you manufacture and where you are in the Canadian market process
• Your message, including any product or business details you include in it

If you email us directly, we collect your email address and whatever you write. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which record things like IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We do not run advertising or analytics tools on this site.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to decide whether and how we can help, to provide our services if you become a client, and to keep ordinary business records. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

A few outside services are involved in running this site:

• Web3Forms receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our email.
• Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website, keeps the server logs mentioned above, and processes visitors' IP addresses to keep the site fast and secure.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. When a page loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details.

These providers have their own privacy policies and may process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country. We do not share your information with anyone else except where the law requires it.

Cookies

We do not set cookies of our own. Our hosting provider may set a small technical cookie for security and to keep the site working. It is not used to track you across other sites.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to keep reasonable business records, and for longer where the law requires. If you become a client, we keep the records of that work for as long as business and legal obligations require. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we need to keep it by law.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are sent to us through an encrypted connection. We limit access to enquiries to people who need them to respond. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. Write to us at the address above and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are writing to us from outside Canada and your local law gives you additional rights, tell us and we will consider your request under that law as well.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
